Ok now your starting to really tick me off. You deleted my last attempt to leave a comment. This app took my money but wont let me download it. Ive been on a couple different wifi spots. I have LTE 5 bars of service. Ive reset my iPhone 6. So give me back my money!!! Or....real simple, you allow me to download this app.
Ive purchased travel e-books on a few occasions, and have generally been disappointed. Travel books require flipping back and forth between pages, and e-books have never been good for that (neither Kindle nor iBooks). But THIS is DIFFERENT! Finally, a travel book that takes full advantage of all the benefits of the mobile medium! Find a cool destination, put it in favorites for easy reference; see reference to a travel service, touch it and open a link to its website to make a reservation; want to go to a location, click on "directions" and go to the map app on your device with the coordinates already entered in; want to find sights, restaurants, and services near where you are, just tap on the map in the app and get a full listing with distances and details. This is well worth the price!
Although I wish it was bundled with the e-book, this app is very useful for travel to the Big Island of Hawaii. Very easy to use!
My family and I were able to maximize our vacation in Hawaii thanks to this app and the corresponding book. Easily some of the best produced travel literature out there right now.
The book is recognized as the definitive guide to the big island outside (and inside) of the resort bubble. Written by a local with exhaustive personal research. And the app does what too few other apps of books of any kind do, namely take advantage of the format to cross-reference and use your tablets or phones locating capability (note, iPads without wireless data do not have GPS). There is no substitute for this app other than the book.
